Provenance: French private collection, acquired in February 1988 at gallery Carrefour in Paris. Accompanied by an old collection expertise and French antiquity passport.
Condition: Both feet missing, some wear and minor chips on the tail, back of the head and right side of the face.
Description: Large figure carved out of one wood piece of a seated Horus falcon with a black coating. The face with fine accentuations and pointed, short beak, the eyes in white. The wings are closed with long, crossed-over tail feathers. In this size and quality extremely rare. Mounted.
