Description: 22th dynasty, found in Tahna, Upper Egypt in 1928. This beautiful example with reddish brown hieroglyphs and paintings is from an excavation led by French archaeologists. Depicted mummiform with the arms crossing at the chest, a hoe in each fisted hand, a wide basket at the back. With a column of hieroglyphs on the front reading: "The Osiris Pa-sheri-(en)-Isis, Justified". A similar example, most probably from the same grave, is our reference number 1003. A third example can be seen in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna (inventory number AE 9351).
