Description: Wonderfully preserved pair of gold hoop earrings from the early period of Hellenism. The circular earrings of round gold wire with an eyelet at one end and a hooked loop at the other end. The outside of the gold wire is abundantly adorned with granules in grape-shape and gold beads with granules in shape of pomegranates. Right below the clasp a drop-shaped setting framed by granules, with an inlayed garnet. These wonderfully preserved earrings are still wearable today. It is recommended to have modern pins custom-made to avoid opening the ancient clasp.
