Condition: A consolidated corrosion area, otherwise except for the slightly corroded surface an excellently preserved, monumental bronze basin.
Description: Large brazier, embossed in one piece with a rounded wall and pulled outwards and folded downwards rim. Two rotelles are brazed on the flat rim, where two massively forged, movable bronze handles are pulled through. At the bottom are three heart-shaped handle attachments brazed on, on which again rotelle feet are brazed on lending stability to the large basin. Possibly from a workshop in Capua.
