Description: Terracotta guttus with a black-gloss slip, standing on a high ring foot featuring a broad moulded band at its centre. The vertically rising spout is decorated with three mouldings. The body extends far outward and features vertical grooves on the outside. The flat upper side is decorated with a relief medallion in the form of a Medusa head. Medusa’s delicately modelled face is framed by her wild serpent locks. An old collection inscription in white letters is preserved on the underside.
