Condition: Minimal chipping on the rim, otherwise almost perfectly preserved.

Description: Rare and almost perfectly preserved ribbed bowl standing on three short stub legs, originating from the northwestern Iranian settlement mound of Hasanlu Tepe. The globular vessel is decorated all around with fine vertical ribs, which taper into a smooth wall just before the neck. The neck is concave, the rim flares outward and is rounded. On the shoulder, two vertically aligned cord loops face each other, through which the vessel could also be hung. A rare and important ceramic vessel from the Iranian Iron Age.
