Description: Finely worked out, Sumerian shell limestone head of a cow. The animal with round, pierced eyes, which possibly once held inlays. Head, neck, horns and ears are separated by deeply drawn grooves. The fur on the head hatched with fine incisions. The mouth also notched. The head was once part of a larger shell pendant. With an old, inscribed collection cover.
