Description: Finely crafted small solid-bronze statuette of a seated boy. The unclothed child supports himself on his left arm, while both legs and the right arm are extended to the right. His attentive gaze follows the direction of his limbs. He seems to enjoy the moment; his mouth is slightly open, and his cheeks are round. The eyes were likely once inlaid with silver. The wavy, dense hair falls onto the nape at the back and covers the ears at the sides; on top, it is parted in the center and tied above the forehead in a knot in the manner of an Eros figure. Statuettes of this kind were often placed at the edge of water basins. The boy then gazed joyfully, yet at a respectful distance, toward the cool water. On a small acrylic base.
