Thence Leland Little Auctions on 15 June 2018, lot 2063. With two copies from documents from the Cyprus Museum of Jacksonville, issued by the Cypriot government. Last at the English art market.
Condition: Handle and spout restored, otherwise very well preserved.
Description: Magnificent and big jug of the so-called red polished ware with a bulbous, also at the bottom rounded corpus, long neck and protruding rim. The round handle starts at the shoulder and reaches to the rim. Corpus, neck and spout abundantly decorated with incised decor, filled with white chalk. On the front an applied lug. Mounted.
