Description: Large Gallo-Roman limestone statuette of a seated boy, which probably once served as a tomb monument. The boy with thick hair styled forward, round face with big chubby cheeks, full lips and deeply set, large eyes. He sits on a rock, which merges in the back into a back rest, which reaches over his back. He has a cape thrown over his right shoulder, which is wrapped over his belly, private parts and left arm. The right arm is stretched forward, the hand possibly already missing since ancient times. The massive legs are set straight and let the boy almost sit enthroned. See for the rock and the workmanship the Gallo-Roman statues in the Langres Museum of Art and History in Haute-Marne, France.
