Description: Large, solid cast bronze statue of a young stag in a jumping position. The animal stands on its hindlegs and has its (today in large part missing) forelegs pulled up. Its naturalistically worked out head is slightly turned to the left. It has finely drawn eyes, which are slightly bulging and underline its tension. The mouth is long with an almost spherical end. The velvet antlers underline its age. The spoon-like ears are far stretched back. The body is also skilfully modelled. Belly, muscles and the buttock are naturalistically depicted. The hindlegs, on which the animal stands, are strained. In the back a short tail protrudes. A rare, important depiction. On an old wood base.
