Description: Flat bronze idol of a stylized man in the adoration gesture. The undressed figure stands straight with slightly spread legs and almost rectangularly raised arms with overlarge hands. The hands with four fingers in form of large prongs, the stretched out thumb touches the head. The bird-like face with large, bulging, round eyes, prominent nose and wide-open mouth. The legs are semi-circularly curved forward, as if the figure intends to fall on its knees. Votive figures such as the present one were found in northern Caucasia, e.g. in Karata in Dagestan. They probably were produced near the offering places as donations for the gods, sold and offered to the gods.
