Description: Roman, red varnished oil lamp of the type Loeschke IB with a rare depiction of a bestiarius in the arena with the defeated predator lying in front of him. The gladiator holds a shield in his left hand in front of his chest, the gladius hangs down in his right hand. To the right of the image area a round pouring hole. The shoulder is engraved with a concentric circle. In the centre of the angular volute snout the equally round venting hole. On the base a set off foot ring.
