Description: Charming terracotta statuette from a workshop in Tanagra depicting a standing woman, who has her arms placed on her small belly. The rounding on the belly suggests that she is expecting. She wears a floor-length chiton, which covers her feet and on top a himation over the shoulders and upper arms. The weight rests on the right supporting leg, the left free leg is bent backwards. The woman has red, wavy hair, which piles up and is tied in buns above the forehead. Her features are serious, possibly pensive about what lies ahead. The hollow worked out statuette stands on a set off pedestal. Inside inscribed with the collection number I-32. Accompanied by a TL test of 18 October 2024, confirming the age of the figure.
