Description: Lovingly worked out terracotta statuette from a workshop in Tanagra depicting a standing girl with a bird in her arm. The girl leans with the right arm on a column. She holds and snuggles up a bird in the left hand. She wears a floor-length chiton and stands with her weight on the left leg. The right free leg is slightly bent to the side, the foot protrudes from the chiton. She has a himation thrown over the right arm. The girl has a friendly, almost cheeky expression. Her face with chubby cheeks is formed to a smile. Her red hair cascades bushily over her ears and is piled up in a bun at the top. The statuette stands on a profiled pedestal.
