Exhibited in "Romeins glas, geleend uit particulier bezit" in the Thermal Museum Heerlen, Netherlands in summer 2011.
Condition: Intact with light irisation.
Description: Particularly elegant, large amphora of almost completely discoloured clear glass. The glass with an ovoid body stands on a concave foot ring. The long neck is slightly indented and has a fine decorative thread in the centre, which is closed with a large glass bead. The rim is pulled outwards and folded back rounded. The masterly worked out handles start on the rim, follow along the neck, then curve outwards to end broadly fanned out on the shoulder. From the eastern Mediterranean Sea region.
