Description: Rare and exceedingly charming bronze depiction of a stylized horse from Iranian Luristan. The animal has a long, slender body, which slightly sags and has a round cross section. The neck is strong, towards the top and bottom rounded and has a ribbed mane, which was engraved in cold work. The head with large button eyes, raised, tapering ears and a prominent, trumpet-shaped mouth. The statuette stands on four straight legs, which also have a round cross section. At the back a short tail protrudes, which is decorated with notches and curves in a wide arc. Interesting stylization.
