Provenance: English collection of Donald Oster, published in 1983 in the catalogue ‘Roman Glass’ by the English Gallery Charles Ede. Subsequently, in another British collection and again with Charles Ede Gallery in 2013. Acquired there on 30 October 2013 by the English collection of Michael and Jeanne Pix. Until recently in the family collection. With an invoice from 2013.

Description: Balsamarium of cobalt blue glass with a pear-shaped body and a long cylindrical neck, constricted at the base and terminating in a horizontal rim. The entire flask is traversed by several white glass threads, giving the vessel a marbled appearance and a special shine.
