Description: Wonderfully preserved, small Cypriot jug of the White Painted Ware dating to the archaic period in Cyprus. The painting in black depicts six swastikas on the bulbous body, which is flattened at the bottom. Around the neck a black band. On the curved cloverleaf spout, which reminds of a bird’s head, two painted eyes on the sides. The handle starts on the spout and reaches to the shoulder. It is decorated with a ladder ornament, which ends below the handle in a tail turned to the left.
