Condition: From the viewer’s perspective right part of the stephane possibly attached, otherwise beautifully preserved.
Description: Terracotta protome in form of an archaic head of a woman. It possibly depicts a goddess. She wears a stephane where diligently placed vertical hair strands are looking out, framing the face. The eyes typically almond-shaped, the straight nose between high cheekbones, the mouth with an archaic smile. The protome possibly served as an architectural part or was placed as a votive offering in a temple. Mounted.
