Provenance: Private collection Achim Klett, Bavaria, Germany, acquired 1975. Since then in a family estate. Accompanied by an old collection picture and a handwritten provenance confirmation.
Condition: Some cones with some wear and encrustations, but throughout intact.
Description: Rare collection consisting of 30 mosaic cones from the early period from Sumer. The about finger long ceramic cones were pressed into the clay plaster of walls and columns so that only the different colored heads were visible. Three cones still stick in the original original plaster. The collection is in the original wood drawer from the previous owner from the 1970s. From Uruk.
