Provenance: Swiss collection Hans Zellweger (1916-2000), acquired in the 1970s from Elie Borowski. Since then in a family estate.
Condition: Except for some imperfections at the broad end in an excellent condition.
Description: Wonderfully preserved bronze belt of a woman which was worn around the stomach and bound on the back with a sewed-on piece of fabric or leather. The belt tapering from the broad to the narrow end. On the rims continuous perforations where the lining was sewn on. The belt is decorated with a punched middle ridge and two punched rows on the rims. At the ends three parallel punched rows each.
