Provenance: From the private collection of the French archaeologist Louis-Gabriel Bellon (1819-1899). For over 120 years in a family estate. With a TL test and a French antiquities passport.

Condition: A stable crack in the centre of the column, otherwise intact.

Description: Particularly detailed Hellenistic terracotta statuette of a youth leaning with his left arm on a column. The youth stands on a rectangular plinth and has a long, floor-length cloak thrown over his left shoulder. Otherwise he is uncovered and holds the cloak with his right arm in front of his private part. His right standing leg is covered by the cloak, his left free leg peeking out. His upper body is also presented uncovered. The youth has a happy, very friendly face. He wears a thick wreath over his thick, curly hair. In his left supported hand he holds a long, obviously bulging full money bag. With beautifully preserved white, red and brown paint. Possibly from Myrina. On the back below an old collection label. With a TL test of 23 October 2021 confirming the age of the statuette.
