Description: Large marble fragment with Greek inscription in eleven lines. It is about a honorary decree which was placed on a building or on the base of a statue to honour several men who made an outstanding contribution for a construction project. The translation reads: “… for the assembly house … … Aurelius Menekrates … and Aurelius Bassus… not a little … (5) the construction of the work and … the owed … it was therefore decided … through the same… for the diligence for the work … (10) the evident diligence … farewell.” Angular letters with many ligatures.
