Provenance: Collection Nikola Jovanovic, Vienna. Acquired in the 1960s. Since then in a family estate.
Condition: One small chip on the rim, otherwise intact.
Description: Early Neolithic, thick walled bowl of the Starčevo culture of light clay. The bottom flat, the round corpus with a noticeable bend in the middle. At the height of the bend six deeply incised encircling semi-circular sickles (moons?). Between the sickles finely notched ribs. Numerous root traces inside and outside. With remains of white and red brown color. Possibly from the region of Supska-Stublina.
