Description: Black-figured lekythos depicting Heracles fighting against the Cretan bull. As the seventh task Heracles is ordered to tame the bull and to bring him to the King of Mycenae. The hero is depicted nude grabbing the bull’s body on the side, the bull with a lowered head in an attacking position. On each of the scene’s outer sides two female figures in long gowns. On the neck encircling tongue decoration. Details in red.
