Description: The hook with its abundantly decorated retaining plate is influenced by the early Islamic design, but probably it was used in the Byzantine culture region. The richly ornamented plate with a lotus blossom decoration was mounted with four rivets. The separately made hook depicts a dragon head with a wide open mouth.
