Provenance: From the estate of Josef Strasser, Lannach, Styria, Austria. Acquired between 1960 and 1980.
Condition: Head of the rider possibly missing since ancient times, otherwise intact.
Description: Formed by hand, strongly stylized horse from fired, light clay with short, stubby legs and a short, protruding tail. The mouth long and dipping downwards, over the forelegs a long vestment or saddle. On the back probably remains of an also stylized rider. At the front an old inventory number in red color. Possibly from Levant.
